I took my renovator training class on April 1st, 2010. How does the final rule that extended renovator training expirations published in the Federal Register on April 16th, 2015 (80 FR 20444), affect me? Does it change my firm certification as well?

Answer

The final rule extended the expiration of renovator training for those trained on or before March 31, 2011 in accordance with the table below.  Because you completed your renovator training on April 1st, 2010, your training expiration was extended by one year to April 1st, 2016.  The extensions do not apply to firm certifications.
